Charles Joseph Plastering Ltd. is seeking a F/T Construction Estimator
Position Info:
- Position: Construction Estimator
- Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
- Wage: $53.00~$56.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
- Number of Positions: 1
- Work Location: 4-1301 Ketch Court, Coquitlam, BC V3K 6X7

Job Duties:
- Create estimates for material, labor, and equipment costs for construction projects using contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications
- Provide guidance on tendering procedures, evaluate tenders, recommend tender awards, and facilitate negotiations
- Establish and manage the tendering process, and implement systems for cost monitoring, reporting, and procedures
- Prepare regular cost statements and forecasts throughout project duration
- Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Collaborate and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontracts; conduct economic feasibility studies for adjustments to cost estimates
- Manage and coordinate construction projects, and develop construction progress schedules
Job requirements:
- Experience: 2~3 years of related experience are required
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required
- Language: English
