Trillium Recycling Inc. is a diversified recycling company located in Ajax Ontario, and specializing in wood pallet recycling services. For many years, Trillium has been supplying the local market with reliable products in a timely manner exceeding their client expectations.

We are currently looking for a Truck Driver to join our team based out of Ajax Ontario.  Our Truck Drivers provide short and long haul transportation of products to and from our plant to meet Operational requirements and client demand.

The successful Truck Driver will operate long haul and straight trucks to transport goods and materials to our recycling plant in Ajax Ontario.   

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailor, long-combination vehicle and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over short and long distances

·       Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods

·       Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, and brakes

·       Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods

·       Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes

·       Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

·       Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·      Must have a valid AZ Truck Driver’s License to operate vehicles equipped with air brakes

·      Any basic vehicle mechanic or repair training is preferred

·      Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
